Biofuels
"Bio-fuels are sources of energy that come from living, renewable sources, such as corn, palm oil, and even animal manure. In recent years bio-fuels have come to mean fuels such as ethanol and bio-diesel, which can be burned in engines to drive vehicles in place of fossil fuels like petroleum and diesel fuel. Bio-fuels have also been promoted as a way of reducing carbon emissions and thus tackling global climate change. More than 40 countries now offer some sort of subsidy to encourage the production and use of bio-fuels instead of fossil fuels. This topic looks at whether bio-fuels really are better than fossil fuels, and whether governments should continue to develop policies to promote bio-fuel production and use." (The Debatabase Book)

biofuel is the future, like everything else is changing, it time for the change of fuel instead of fossil fuel. Us as a nation needs to cut back on foreign dependability of fuel, for many reason. One of the reasons are that we are constantly being dominated by these countries, who or who may not be supporting the threat to our country and may more. Secondly, we are seriously taking up the butt, because our dependency on the fuel. Basically they can name a price and we agree to pay for it.
ReplyDeleteAs fossil fuels are made by nature, we can never can beat nature but we can get close it, or let nature work for use but in a faster time frame. From recent reading about biodiesel, the percentage yeild on average is 80% by volume. In the process, you have to added ethol to it but ethol can be easyly made from anything with sugar in it and the biproducts of both can be made into other things or even returned back to nature as feed for livestock, or fertilize the crops.
